Wow! That this summer has gone fast. Our 81st season is drawing to a close. A little over two weeks until we start to button up and prepare for winter. But we aren’t finished yet. These last couple weeks of the season have become some of our favorites over the years. The leaves start to change, the tempo slows just a little, and people linger just a little longer.
Another Amazing Year
We’ve had another wonderful year, seeing old friends, greeting new guests and experiencing the wonder of the Northwoods with our visitors. From the uncertainty that ice would be off the lake for the fishing opener–it was–to the fleeting daylight of August evenings. From weddings to honeymoons to 5oth anniversaries, couples with and without their children have celebrated on the shores of Bear Island Lake. Through all of your events and traditions, it has been our honor to share Timber Wolf Lodge with you this year.
We Aren’t Finished Yet
Though the change in season has us feeling reflective, we aren’t done yet. Like the flowers that are still showing off around the resort, we aren’t going away too soon. We still have a little over two weeks for people to join us. We have found over the last number of years, that more and more people like the feel of Timber Wolf Lodge after the kids go back to school and the air gets a little cooler. We love our guests who have sent their kids off to college or are enjoying their first fall of retirement. Okay, we like our guests no matter how many years they’ve been retired. If you have few days or a whole week, we’d love to see you before September 15.
