From Duluth, follow Hwy. 53 North onto the Iron Range and to the town of Virginia.
From Mpls/St.Paul take Interstate 35 North to Cloquet
At Cloquet, go North on Hwy. 33 until it merges into Hwy 53, continue North to Virginia.

Both:  Stay on Hwy. 53 through Virginia, then North @ 5 miles. Watch for Hwy. 169 North, and merge right onto Hwy.169. Go another 6 miles and watch for Hwy 21 on your right. A good landmark is the Silverado Saloon on your left - the only commercial building along this stretch. (Its bright blue. If you stop for refreshments, tell them 'Hi' from Timber Wolf)!

You are now on Hwy. 21 (and will stay on Hwy 21 for @24 miles, coming up to the town of Babbitt).
Cross Hwy. 135 - a 2 way stop. On your right will be 4 Corners Cafe (great food!) and gas station. Carry on.
You will pass through Embarrass and Benville. Stay on Hwy 21 until you get to the west edge of Babbitt,

Good landmarks as you approach Babbitt are the Babbitt Golf Course (on your right) the 'Welcome to Babbitt' sign. Just after these landmarks, Highway 21 will make a 90 degree left turn to go North toward Ely. Make this left turn, staying on Highway 21. If you continue straight into the town of Babbitt, then you've missed the turn. Turn around and watch for Hwy 21

Once you've turned North on Hwy. 21, you're almost here. Go 4.5 miles. Watch for our big sign on the right hand side of Hwy 21 and turn left onto 'Escape Road' (honest). Come back about 1/4 mile and on your right you will see our large ' Welcome to Timber Wolf Lodge' sign. Come on down this driveway- into the Lodge!

From the North - Ely
The main street of Ely is Sheridan St. is also Hwy 169. As you come though town from either direction, turn south on Central Av. which turns into Hwy 21. At the corner of Sheridan and Central is the Chocolate Moose, Piragis store and Conoco gas station. Go south on Hwy 21 @ 10 -11 miles, watch for our big sign on the left, and turn right onto Escape Rd, and watch for the 'Welcome to Timber Wolf Lodge' sign and follow the driveway on in.

From the East, Hwy 1 - the North Shore
About 6 miles before you get to Ely, turn left just past the Ely Airport onto Hwy 120 (Blueberry Rd.). You will go about 8 miles and come to a dead end at Hwy 21, and turn left. Go approximately 3 miles, look for Escape Rd. and turn right onto Escape Rd.
