We reopen for the 2013 season on May 10th.  New improvements that you will experience this year include a complete remodel of Cabin 3.  This historic cabin was showing its age so during the Spring of 2013 Brett Davies and his construction crew returned to Timber Wolf Lodge to give Cabin 3 a fresh look.  Cabin 9 received a new metal roof.  We bought a brand new water trampoline for the 2013 season. And we are returning with some upgraded boats, motors and pontoons.

At Timber Wolf Lodge you’ll experience newly remodeled cabins that have been completely refurnished.  You’ll find each master bedroom now equipped with the Sleep Number Bed.  You’ll enjoy a fresh brewed cup of coffee every morning compliments of the new Keurig brewers in your cabin.  And our new luxury linens and pillows will complement the pine scented evening breezes and help to ensure a fantastic night sleep! 

SLEEPS 1 TO 14  Our IBR, 2BR, 3BR, 4BR and 5BR guest cabins rest along our 1,362 feet of Bear Island Lake shoreline.  And our 23 RV sites are reserved for our monthly and seasonal RV guests.  Bear Island Lake features a great fishery of native species including walleye, crappie, bluegill, largemouth and smallmouth bass and northern pike.  We are also a DNR fishery with 900,000 new walleye fry released every other year!

We’re family friendly and quiet and secure and we offer Family Adventure Packages to make your stay more enjoyable.  There is a lot of exploration that departs from our own beach like kayaking, canoeing, nature walks on our own 1 mile track or deep exploration of 110 acre Bear Island which rests right in the center of our Bear Island Lake.

If you want to get out for other adventures then we partner with other business and attractions to offer our guests some great experiences.  These include:  Wolf Encounters at the International Wolf Center, Guided Fishing Trips with expert fisherman Jim Orcutt, Bear Photo Ops at the North American Bear Center, ATV tours of Lake Superior’s North Shore with Mud Paws ATV Adventures, and breath-taking Aerial Tours of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness with Van Air.

SUNSET CRUISES.  Well our guest sure enjoy this free activity.  And they fill our inbox with breath taking photos of sunsets over Bear Island Lake.  Come aboard our pontoon as we depart at dusk to the center of serene Bear Island Lake.  Then we float, drink a beverage and build memories with those we love.  After the sun sets across the western skyline we return to base and lots of you will head back to your classic northern cabin, build a fire and get ready to settle in for the night (don’t forget the s’mores!).
