Summer goes quickly here at Timber Wolf Lodge, and we love it. We post pictures of our guests, the Lodge and from the area on our Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts. But, we know that not everyone is using social media so we want to share some of our favorites from this summer so far.
Our work never totally ends here, but we really get started preparing for guests when the weather starts to warm. One of our favorite days is when the ice goes out on Bear Island Lake. This year, that happened in April and we were able to capture a bit of the last ice.
There is always some excitement right before our first guests of the season arrive in mid-May. Here is a shot with everything prepped and ready to go for the summer season. Notice that the leaves are just strting to pop out on the tree.
Not everyone who comes to Timber Wolf Lodge spends time fishing, but many do. A couple of guests caught their first-ever fish this year, and there have been a number of large walleye taken from the lake. (Photos: Steve Branstrom)
One of the highlights of the year has been having Adventure Seaplanes stop by every Wednesday to offer guests the opportunity to see the area by air. One guest called it the “experience of a lifetime.” (Photos: Steve Branstrom)
And then there have been those beautiful mornings and evenings. We love Ely and the north woods and we look forward to seeing you here. Check out our remaining available rentals for 2017, or maybe even think of booking for 2018. It’s never too soon to plan to join us.
